Dr. Straut and his office took outstanding care of our son when he had an issue with one of his eyes. They were able to get us in so Dr. Straut could see what was going on with his eye and quickly discovered the issue.

Dr. Mandese is great! He is very thorough and explains everything in great depth. The only negative is the wait time. It always takes an hour or more for an appointment where you get medical attention for 10-15 minutes.

I’ve been seeing Dr Mandese for years. He is a top notch eye doctor! He takes the time to figure out what’s going on with your eyes, does a great yearly exam and prescription if needed. I can’t say enough about how lovely he is and his staff especially Jessica. If you want a great optometrist he is the one. He also has multiple locations…Rockledge, Melbourne and Palm Bay.

Dr. Straut has been my eye professional for several years. He has advised me in many areas of eye care. I have suffered with dry eye it seems my entire adult life. We discussed punctal plugs to give me relief. After a year of purchasing endless supplies of dry eye drops to no avail i decided on requesting we give the punctal plugs a try. Why did I wait so long!! Thank you Dr Straut for the professional care you have given me.

I presented with red irritated eyes. After examining eyes, Dr. Straut diagnosed my condition of Blepheritis. After using prescribed ointment, the redness is gone and eye condition has improved After two applications. Dr. Strait is kind, listens carefully and properly diagnosed my condition.

I have seen Dr. Straut for many years and can't say enough positive things about him. He is a pleasure to deal with. On his recommendation, I had Atlantic Eye Consultants remove my cataracts. I am so glad I did it, too. I highly recommend AEC and particularly Dr Straut and Dr Darlington.

Dr. Straut was very thorough. I told him about some other health issues I have been having. And he explained how those health issues could impact my eyesight. I started to see Dr. Straut when he moved to the new location on NASA. Ever since then my experience at that location and with him has been 5 star! Great location, really great atmosphere. Super engaged and helpful front office assistance. I have never waited more that 10 minutes to be seen for pre appointment, and never more than 10 minutes to see Dr. Straut. He is the best Eye Doctor i have ever had. He is very much hands on and tuned into your concerns. You can feel his passion and will fully appreciate his depth of knowledge and true concern about your eyesight and eye health. He is proactive about his approach to treatment and most of all he listens to your concerns. The technicians were very good and explained everything and they knew their trade. Now, Dr Straut besides being a great doctor is also a gentleman who takes his time, gives a thorough exam, answers all your questions and addresses any concerns. My concerns were met without a long wait time.

Prompt. Knowledgeable. Explained my condition clearly and his proposed treatment plan. Within hours I started to see improvement. Very positive experience.

Best eye care.

Minimal wait times, professional operation. Previous refraction prescription was slightly off and was updated. Unfortunately, glasses from earlier prescription (prism lenses) were expensive, and now I'm conflicted about getting new lenses with updated prescrption. Wish this prescription was the one I had in my glasses, vice the older one. Also, disappointed that the updated prescription expires in 6 months vs one year from this visit.

Had 935 appointment was called about moving appointment time to 8.35 ,so I would not have long wait,which I agree to.i arrived at 8.25 and took a seat. About 10.25 they called me and nurse said someone messed up the schedule,however no one came out to waiting to inform me . A real professional operation ,that’s my review .

Dr. Mandese has been my eye specialist for several years. He is thorough with his exams, answers my questions, asks if I have any questions and genuinely cares about his patients!

Very little waiting, staff efficient and friendly. Dr. Straut answered my questions thoroughly.

He is the only one who knows how to pluck eye lashes. I have bullous pemphigoid in my eyes. I have had all doctors in this trial, and I have to wait for Dr Mandese to come back one or two days after any other doctor plucks them.

He is a great doctor I tell everyone I know about him.

Doctor seemed very good at what he does. He recommended the lens that would be best for me. He saw something on my eyelid that required a better look at after the cataracts are removed..

The doctor is great and the technician’s are too. I found only ONE BIG PROBLEM I was there 4 hours for my appointment. When I walked in there was no where to sit because there was so many people. I waited an hour and a half to see the first technician and another 11/2 hours for the next. That’s crazy.

I was taken on time in a very busy office. The staff was professional and knowledgeable. Dr Darlington checked in and suggested options. The fact that you have to pay extra for a prescription is annoying.

Procedure is uncomfortable, but preferable option. I do think that it would be nice to have medication information written down. Patients under stress can forget what they are told to do for follow-up.

Everything went so quickly and the entire staff was fantastic. However, I cannot say enough about Belle. She was my intake nurse and not only was she empathetic, but she really knows how to read her patient/the room. I freaked out "a bit" :-( and Belle was right there. She saw it happening and immediately stepped up to begin calming me back down before the surgery. I cannot recommend Dr. Darlington and his staff more. I still have another eye surgery to go, and although I'm not sprinting back :-), I know I'm in great hands.

Dr. Mandese fited me into his schedule on Friday to have an urgent visit regarding my emergency eye condition. Dr. Mandese provided me with excellent care, did a thorough examination, evaluated and diagnosed my medical eye issue and preformed treatment that helped begin to alleviate the issue, along with orders for medication and at home treatment that will lead to my eye condition being healed and eventually cured. Dr. Mandese is an excellent diagnostician and highly skilled Clinician. He and his staff provided me with excellent medical service and patient care to resolve my urgent medical eye issue. I was able to get in on short notice for an eye infection. The office was thorough and timely. I was in and out as a new patient with a full eye exam in approximately 35 minutes. Dr Straut was able to help with my eye infection which started clearing up immediately.

I'm giving a score in the middle. He seemed knowledgeable and genuine. It's hard to give a review though when you spend a total of 5 minutes with a Dr. I certainly did not appreciate the fact that it appears they over book their appointment for Dr. Darlington. I was to be there at 12:45. Which I was. Upon entering I notice all the seats were full. I then asked if he was running behind. I was told yes, about 1 hr. It wasn't 1 hr but 3 hrs. I know this to be a fact because once I was in the exam room and waiting to see the Dr. I called my husband who has been waiting in the car all this time. This is an unacceptable time to wait. I simple phone call to the patient to be notify of any delay would be greatly appreciated by many. I heard many complaints in the waiting area once I was able to have a seat. This is Florida where most of his patients are senior citizens, many with health issues and waiting that amount of time makes it very difficult to be patient. That includes myself.

Other than a little bit of a wait time it was a very positive experience. Dr. Darlington is very precise in his discussion and made me feel very confident . All the people involved in the examination were very professional and thorough. I highly recommend them.

Dr Strout provided a thorough explanation of my cateract surgery options in an easily understandable manner. The reason for the huge price difference between lenses has always been elusive to me and has been the main reason why I have not opted for the procedure.

To begin with, Dr. Darlington and his team took my special circumstances into consideration when setting up my appointment, understanding the time sensitivity of my disease. They continued to take this into consideration iin scheduling my cataract surgery. Their service model is exceptional, despite being one of the busiest medical practices in the county. I have been overwhelmed by support of his team!

Sometimes the first impression is the best impression. My first visit of course I was a little nervous but the front desk ladies made me very comfortable. The young ladies that did my tests assured me I had nothing to worry about and they were right. Then Dr Darlington put the icing on the cake professionally letting me know the root cause of my problem and that he was going to do the best he could to take care of it. My time is as valuable to me as the doctors is to him. My appt was for 11:15 I was finally called back at about 12:30. Once back things went smoothly and proffessionally but unless there was an emergency at some point and assuming he started at a normal time being more than an hour behind in a morning means that not enough time is being allowed for each appt.

During my initial consultation with Dr. Darlington two years ago, I had been reliant on corrective lenses due to nearsightedness and astigmatism since the age of six. By that time, contact lenses had become increasingly uncomfortable for me, and returning to glasses was not an option I was willing to consider. After a thorough examination of my eyes, Dr. Darlington and I evaluated several possibilities, ultimately deciding that cataract surgery combined with multifocal intraocular lenses would best suit my vision needs. The procedure proceeded smoothly, and since then, I have enjoyed clear vision at all distances—close, mid-range, and long. The ability to wake up each day without the hassle of contacts or glasses has been one of the most significant benefits I’ve experienced throughout my life. During my most recent visit, everything was progressing well, although I have noticed a slight haziness. Dr. Darlington had previously informed me that this development was a potential outcome following surgery. He recommended a YAG laser capsulotomy, a quick and painless procedure that allows me to resume work immediately afterward, should I choose to. I appreciate his reassurance that this will be a one-time procedure. I cannot recommend Dr. Darlington highly enough; he is an exceptional doctor and an outstanding surgeon. Each visit is a positive experience, thanks to him and his dedicated staff.
